Problem:

Rabbits infected with Clostridium welchii (Clostridium perfringens) and its toxin will cause acute infectious diseases of digestive tract, characterized by severe diarrhea. This disease often occurs suddenly and is difficult to cure after onset. About one week after weaning, the incidence rate is the highest. After the onset of the disease, the rabbit is mentally depressed and likes water. It suddenly experiences severe watery diarrhea, with black brown loose feces that stain the anal area and hind leg fur, resulting in acute death. The stomach is filled with food, the small intestine is filled with gas, and the appearance of the abdomen is swollen. Gently shaking the rabbit's body can hear the sound of splashing water, and in the later stage of the disease, it can be seen that the mucosa is cyanotic, the ears are cold, the limbs are weak, and severe dehydration. After symptoms appear, most people die within 12 to 48 hours, and a few may delay for a relatively long time, but ultimately they will also die. This is mainly due to unstable raw materials of grass powder, replacement of crude fiber raw materials, long-term feeding of antibiotics or sulfonamide drugs, and other factors.

Solution:

Scientific feeding, feed nutrition should be balanced, feed less high protein or low fiber feed, enhance the immunity of young rabbits, add functional probiotics before and after weaning of young rabbits, rabbit shuttleless, long-term use can inhibit Clostridium perfringens, reduce the death elimination rate, promote the growth performance of young rabbits, do not diarrhea, do not abdominal distension, increase food intake, reduce feces, increase efficiency and reduce costs, and improve economic efficiency.
